Our commitment

Our people come first. We have a duty to observe and protect their employment rights under all applicable laws and ensure their wellbeing. MIC Construct recognizes the challenges of operating in a region with a diverse population of migrant labour and we are committed to implementing the International Framework Agreement of Builders  and Woodworkers  International (BWI), and to promoting worker welfare in line with other international guidance such as the Dhaka Principles.

Our employment conditions support the welfare of our workers, and we are committed to continually improving our worker’s health, safety, security and dignity.

Our worker welfare policy is applicable to all MIC Construct employees. We require our sub- contractors, suppliers, and partners to operate within our principles and we will support this through regular monitoring. The policy will be reviewed periodically, and regularly audited and monitored to continually improve worker welfare standards.

In meeting our commitment to worker welfare we have adopted the ten standards of the BWI international Framework agreement as our core worker welfare principles.
